I didn't even catch that. What does that say about my eye brain coordination? :D

I could never get the back off a watch -- even when my hands were normal!!!! Used to go to a jeweler, but Walmart is closer!

Sally -- Thought you were just kidding.....or else maybe it was an "Ohioism"????

Frank -- Bad spellers "untie"? Isn't it strange, you just expect it to be unite and the brain doesn't even catch it for awhile! By the way, what time is it??

Seems like I have a whole drawer of watches that need batteries, but then I don't really wear them much anymore since I'm always at home. Plus I'd rather wear my "Life Alert" as a bracelet instead of a pendant -- when I wear it. Kind of irritates the skin on my arm. blab, blab, blab........

Well, Sally, SOMEBODY's always needling these threads...:D

OK, I have a plan. I've had three people try to get the back on that sucker, and it just isn't happening. I COULD take a four year old $28 watch to a jeweler somewhere, or to Walmart (only an hour and a half drive each way).

But I think I'm going to set the back in place the best I can and superglue it. Then when the battery dies, I'll buy another watch. So there.

Batteries in watches...Bah! Doesn't anyone make an old-time watch anymore that you had to wind up? I used to have a pretty cool pocket watch that only needed winding. It kept good time, too. Until I dunked it into the Mississippi River once. I even recall old Timex watches that needed winding. But now I'm dating myself.

They make solar-powered watches also, that don't need batteries, but for too much $$$$$ for my budget. I wouldn't dare wear one.
