Default I have a pain in my neck. Should I be worried?

I dont know if I pulled something, or if this is somehow MS related. (the pain is in my neck, which I guess is close to the lesion at C4)

I did not sleep well last night. Didnt really fall asleep until around 730am. Slept for about 4 or 5 hours and got up, been up and running about with my parents today.

Went and bought a new un-interruptible power supply for the new iMac (which I am using right now...this is cool!) and those things are heavy. My dad hurt his back last night doing Judo, so I carried the power supply into the house. Wasnt too heavy. Then I helped my dad move the iMac down into my bedroom. Dont think the Imac weighed more than the power supply thingie.

Now in the past half hour or so, my neck is suddenly starting to get painful. Not like a whiplash painful, but pain where the neck meets the head.

This isnt a harbinger of doom is it?

Should I be worried that the MS Trolls are about to eat thru my spinal column or something?? I dont like it when I have weird pains near my neck. Scares me now.

Does it sound like I probably just pulled something? I dont think I've ever had a pain like this before. I can feel all my fingers and toes, and I dont feel any more numb than I have been. Maybe I'm just out of shape?

ok, breathe. deep breath in... and release it... relax.

it sounds like you have a fair bit of stress, and probably just irritated it lifting that heavy box full of power.

A nice warm soapy shower, and a good relaxing movie, and a good nights sleep and the world will be a better place again.

I am happy you got your Ibook up and popping. I hear those things are awesome.

feel better

The iMac is one of those white ones, that the computer is in the monitor. (20 inch monitor) I think I'd like the laptop kind better. (saw my neighbor's today) but who am I to sneeze in the face of a free computer. This one is pretty neat. Even if it just deleted a memory card full of photographs!! (argh!) No idea what happened.

my neck feels a little bit better. Took some ibuprofen and then sat and watched a movie on the computer.

Now I'm just sitting here, waiting impatiently for my boyfriend to log onto Skype so I can see if the webcamera works.

At least the ibuprofen helped...and the shower I took probably helped a bit too...took a hot shower and pleased to see that the Uhthoff's symptom that I'd been getting in my right eye when I'm warm didnt appear. Yay! Hope that means that the optic neuritis has gone away now.

I think Deji has given you some good advice. I hope you sleep better tonight and wake up feeling wonderful!

If you read the message I just wrote about how much insomnia sucks, I wont have to tell you how well I slept.

did I forget to tell you to have a shot of booze first? darn!

No seriously, insomnia SUCKS! I have had bouts of it, and it can make ya miserable. I lay there doing the goodnight feet, please relax, and good night legs, please relax till I am counting sheep and dreaming of lamb shanks. doesnt always work.

I am glad you are feeling some better, and have a fun new toy to play with.

I ended up sleeping about 6hrs, and at least feel a little rested now. Only a little pain in my neck this morning. So, I guess I just did too much lifting and moving of things yesterday.

I might clean my closet today, but may end up just ignoring the large pile of junk in there instead. Altho, if I clean the closet, it could make me sleepy enough to be able to sleep tonight.

I'll probably end up just doing research on things to do when I go on my vacation weekend at the end of the month. I cant wait for my vacation. Boyfriend and I are going to visit a place we drove thru the last time we took a vacation. Decided that we liked the place and wanted to go back. It's only 3hrs from here, so we're going to go see the stuff that we didnt get to see when we drove thru.

I cant wait to do some walking around the town and all the touristy stuff there
