My hands and feet go to sleep, like the sensation a person gets when they sit too long in one position (prickling pins and needles), but it only happens when I am sitting in a few specific positions, or laying in most positions.

That this is happening for you when you are sleeping leads me to think it is positional.

My neuro says it's LIKE l'hirmettes, where my spinal lesions are bothered.

Cherie,

I can be on my back with my hands at my sides or on my body and it can happen. I can be on either side and one can go to sleep. I can be sleeping on my stomach and one can go to sleep.

I could understand positional IF there was a pattern to it. But it isn't consistent. So I can be on my back, side, or stomach and nothing goes to sleep too. Only started within the last two years or so.

I am the same way - it doesn't matter what position I am in it just happens. And then it also happens when I sit in a chair, stand, walk, lay down - it doesn't matter sleeping or awake!

The pattern is that you are laying down. :D

I have the same thing, and the only other time it bothers me is when I am reclining in my recliner with my legs up. I can sit at a desk, a table, on a bench, I can stand, walk . . . the ONLY time it gets me is laying and reclining.

Is that not the case with you, basically?

Cherie
