I have been sitting here lamenting about what to do about my burning hot feet. My usual methods have not helped. Then I looked at them. The bottom of my feet have a lot of edema. for you nurses out there, I would say they are a +1 or +2. The tops and ankles are fine. Any ideas out there?

You've got me pretty well stumped on this one. I don't think it could be MS related but just having the edema on the bottoms of your feet is challenging.

Do you or do you think you may have diabetes? Although I would still think the edema would strike the whole foot rather than just the bottoms.

The only think I can suggest is to go visit your PCP and get his input on this. It may be something totally harmless and then again it may be an indicator of something more serious.

I am diabetic and had a hysterectomy in 03 and ever since have had to live with edema and I take 2 diuretics for them and other then telling your Dr, you can drink lots of water, elevate your feet, flex your ankles if you can....and cut down on your sodium.

Well I was looking at my feet this morning and am just wondering if God gave us some extra fat padding on the under side of our feet. But my padding is definitely more at night than in the morning. I try to keep my feet up most of the day, definitely here at the computer.
