Cherie -- I'm so sorry to read of your recent problems, but glad to hear you say you're finally feeling somewhat better. Let's pray this upward swing will continue. Also my prayers will be with your grandson. When it rains.....blah...blah....blah!!!!

Good morning. Just took the last dose of the two antibiotics I've been on. YAY!!!!! Maybe now my gut can calm down a bit. The phone started ringing at 7:30 this morning with recorded messages to get to the polls or vote on certain issues (5 calls in the past hour and 15 minutes). So I decided to get up, showered and dressed.

It's a better day. I can tell already. The morning routine and breakfast and I'm not so wiped out that I have to go back to bed. Dave is coming home from a breakfast meeting around an hour from now and we will go and vote. Will take the wheelchair in case the lines are long and I need to rest but will hope not to need it.

Blessings to all of you on your day and I promise to take it easy and try not to slip backwards.

OH! Another milestone! I actually can wear a bra today with the shingles having cleared! Feel almost human again.

What a mess! I am glad you're feeling better. Can the doctors do anything to keep this from happening again? Let us know when you find out the possible cause. You must be a little nervous now when you do your shot.

Are they sure your grandson had the chicken pox? That vaccine is routine now. Maybe he had something else?

Grandson had the chickenpox vaccine. The pediatrician thinks it's a different strain that is vaccinated for and is calling it "wild" chickenpox. They have not done any tests on him because they say it will not change how he is treated.

I doubt , at this point, that they will find the cause of all of this now that the inflammation is no longer rampant and I've had a couple of weeks of antibiotics and anti-virals under my belt. I kind of wonder if holding a dose of the Rebif had me responding so strongly to the dose after the missed dose (with reactivation of fever and rash). However, there was only one missed dose and the ones since then have been without any negative side effects.

So glad you are feeling better. Sounds like a rough few weeks but now on the mend. I hope it continues that way for you and your grandson. Sorry I just saw this. Glad you were able to get out yesterday (and wear a bra as much as I HATE wearing one. lol

Every day seems to dawn with a new level of energy of ramping down of pain. It was two weeks ago today that this all hit the fan. Seems like months ago.

I am glad to hear you are still steadily getting better. Don't be a big shot Be sure to continue to rest, even though you are feeling improved.

Not planning on overdoing. Thought I might feel well enough to go to a lunch meeting but decided against it. Lots of increased abdominal discomfort this evening. It's been two and a half days since finishing the antibiotics and my system is still trying to normalize. Laying pretty low for now.

My mom used to say, "Don't be such a big shot, put on a coat" on chilly days.

Now, I say to you, "Don't be such a big shot, stay home" (said with humor and compassion)
