I had all the answers once, when I was a teenager.

Now I don't even know the questions, lol!

Welcome to NeuroTalk. Glad you found us.

Make yourself at home, mbabic, but don't drink the water!

Welcome! I read your thread, but I was 'out the door' back to the hospital on my cyst recovery HAHA!

Anyways, like others have said, what a mysterious disease huh? Glad you are feeling good!

A positive attitude is what will 'win' the war, and it seems you're on the right track for success

Welcome Mbabic and sorry about the DX, glad you are on meds , and like everyone said this illness can be a bit of a pain and annoyance.

I would like to add these days you feel"good or normal" be careful not to over do it, this is an easy thing to do, especially after feeling blah for too many days you want to get stuff done, of course we have all been warned of this and have all over done things a number of times. In due course you will find all the quirks you need to watch for, it takes time the first year I sort of spent just trying to understand it, and I never had these wonderful people here to help me, so you are already one step ahead of me you will have the kind support and wonderful humor of this special group of people

pretty sure someone said this by now to you if not, keep a journal or diary, what ever ya wants to call it and keep track of whats what, and if you get a question at 2 am for your doc write it down and take questions in with you, this will help, anytime you think of a ??? write it down for your docs visit, Welcome aboard the MS train

Hello and Welcome to NT.

Sorry you have to be here, but am glad that you've found us

The answers could be all of the above. I found, myself, after my dx and starting with the DMD, I started feeling better. Some of it, I attribute to just 'relief'...relief of knowing what was going on with my body.

And I, too, find I feel better in the Fall/Autumn weather

Welcome, again, to NT

Hi Mbabic, and to the forum!

When we are first dx, quite often the disease is fairly active (generally that's how it becomes so obvious that we have it, actually). After a while, things level off, with or without disease modifying drugs, at least if we are in the Relapsing/Remitting category anyway.

The disease modifying drugs (DMD's) that most of us are on, aim to reduce inflammation (enhancing lesions), hopefully amounting to less relapses (hence "symptoms" of relapses). It stands to reason then, that we might find that we might actually feel better if the drug "works" for us.

There are many other positive steps we can take too, like all the things you mentioned (diet, exercise, etc.). Quite often it is hard to tell what has made the difference . . . so as my doc says "keep doin' what you've been doin'".

Glad you are feeling better and hope it is lasting for a very long while.

Cherie
