Default Share your health care story

Hello all!

The President would like to hear of and about our health-care stories.

This is the link for that:

Thank you Niko.

It doesn't take much time and it's the place to let your opinions be heard.

And as a gentle reminder, let's keep this thread political free. This link is for all to voice and not any specific political party, so there isn't a reason to bring that here. Let the White House hear it.

PLEASE READ THE FINE PRINT.

It says that your story can be used, and shared in the public eye. If you dont wish to share your story with the public, and dont wish to agree to see snippets of your story on the news, magazines, billboards, then dont write it.

I think its a great idea to be able to share our stories, but I just want everyone to be aware, that this isnt a personal letter to the president, it is a campaign of some sort.

I personally chose to not share my story. I hope many do, but as an ex prison nurse, I dont think I want the ex inmates to know what state I retired to. We tend to be very private in this house.

Wow Dejibo. Forget the MS story!!! Can you tell (without revealing names, of course) stories of your experience as a prison nurse? Not a gory one but something. It is a life experience that I do not have.

I have a bag full of um. Like one prison I worked at, we released an inmate that was held for a long time, and he finally was let go with time served by the judge. The cops downstairs know him, as he was a frequent flyer, and one gave him $5 to get something to eat, and maybe find his way home. 20 minutes later, he was back upstairs, drunk as a skunk on rot gut, and looking to fight. whee! He holds the record for the shortest time OUT of prison.

I have tons, but its hard to talk about some without giving away so many details that those in the area, may be able to piece it together, and figure out who it was.

The husband had 1 escape on him. The two others in the group got caught. They used bed sheets to hang out the window down the side of the building. 1 was half way down, and the others chickened out. Now guy number one is stuck. He cant climb back up to join his buddies, and he was pretty exhausted and having trouble getting the rest of the way down the 9 story building. He eventually slid the rest of the way, and went home to his moms house. Mom fed him a good lunch and they waited for the cops to come get him. Added 12 years to his sentence for the escape. DOH!
