What I found interesting about the article was that drinking any alcohol while on some of the MS meds wasn't/isn't a good idea?
I love red wine, but since starting all the meds for my symptoms I don't take drink - I can barely walk sober, and half a glass makes me giddy. ![]() And I have always been a bit leary of supplements, they are not regulated and I know people who have died from taking too much of what they thought was a good thing. Years ago my doctor mentioned that Canadians have the most expensive urine in the world. Most of the vitamins and stuff people take is excreted, the body doesn't absorb it all. Having said that, if a supplement works for someone with any disease and it's not harming them, then they should enjoy it. Why suffer? MJ is a case in point, at least if I chose I can smoke a joint in my own home. Unfortunately I hate the "high" and Sativex is too expensive. I feel bad for my US friends, the hemp wars were over years ago and the government is so close-minded about medicinal mj use in spite of the evidence otherwise. ![]() |
