A phone call would have been nice and I would think NECESSARY since there were atypical changes!!!

i don't mean to hijack your thread but this can be a lesson learned to all of us.

i'm usually very diligent about calling for my test results and asking for copies of test results. i keep records of everything.

then i had my annual mammo. i forgot about it and never followed up. wks later i get a call that i need a follow up. well it turned out i had cancer and that put me on my journey.

so everyone. take note to keep a file on yourself. don't forget about labs and tests and follow up to get results. and there's nothing to seeing the report for yourself. you might learn a lot more than letting the office call you.

Awww nuts, Gazzy! I think I'd give them a call of Monday and ask for a better explanation. It's their obligation to inform you and we don't need our little Gaz stressed!!! take care.

I'd mention it to your doctor how you never got the call. That sort of irresposibility reflects on the staff...obviously someone wasn't paying attention... :hug:

Nah, Judy, that's not a hijack, that's a great point. I'm usually pretty good about following up too. But when the doc said about not hearing from them if it was normal, I didn't call them. And I generally get copies of the notes/test results after each visit (at the next one or when I call for results/get results).

So I guess I'll call Monday and talk to them about this--just ask them what I COULD be looking at as far as another procedure in the future. They might not want to discuss that, but I'd like to know possibilities--not definites.

I'll follow up and let ya all know what they say. And Gladys, yep, I'll mention it to the doc when I'm there. Staff does have a responsibility when it's not normal.

My PT got extended too for my lower back b/c I still have pain. I've got two more weeks and then I see the physiatrist again. I have a few questions for him!

<sigh> If it's not one thing it's another. :)
