Default waiting..

Is it normal to feel very unsettled waiting for an MRI to come back? The MRI tech told me it might take the Radiologist doctor 2 days to read the MRI and then another day to get to my neurologist. The MRI was done last Wed. I feel like I'm going bananas right now. Not able to focus on anything and can't seem to accomplish anything.

Thank you,

Coffeegirl

I was pretty anxious for the results of my first MRI but I think that's normal. Especially if you're new to this disease.

Now....I don't get rattled about too much anymore. I've almost done a complete 360 to the way I used to be. My thoughts are "it is what it is" and I'll deal with whatever comes my way.

Now I know everyone isn't like that and that's perfectly alright. If you feel it's been enough time and are antsy give your doctor a call. Doctors and their staff see this stuff all day every day and they get to where they don't sense the urgency in it as much as those of us who are trying to patiently wait for results. If it was something you needed to know about immediately they would have called you.

Give them a call.....your doctor works for you.

Yes it's perfectly normal. Part dreads knowing what's on the MRI, the other part is anxious to know what's on the MRI.

Some people feel very relieved to finally have results. Hang in there hun!

Herekitty - It did my heart so much good to read your statement " ...your doctor works for you". While a self evident truth - it can be so hard to recall when in his all powerful presence!?!?!
