I've heard of Soma. I think it's used a lot for migraine headaches. I think it's some form of muscle relaxant.

Yes, I did some reading on soma last night. It is a muscle relaxer with many uses it appears. I am filling it today so I will let everyone know how it goes.

The meat being ripped off the bones is a very good description. I've started stretching at night too to try and alleviate some of the pain. Help some when my legs feel like they are pretzels up behind my ears.

Hey K-Jo! Glad your appt went well. Soma huh? Never heard of it, but if it helps, would like to hear more. I think Cherie is right about the cold weather, as I've noticed more leg pain/spasms lately. The Dr gave me Flexeril, but it keeps me awake.

I take Clonazepam at night and wonder if I should be concerned. My Dr thinks it's ok. *one more thing to worry about*

Hope your pain lessons KJ!

Yeah, I hate the cold always have. Really live in the wrong part of the country huh.

Everyone here is gearing up for snowmobile season (especially now with snow on the ground). I'm gearing up for one on one time with my electric blanket.

Kellijo,

I'm sorry for your pain. I've gone through phases of having pretty bad spasticity pain. I took Baclofen for a couple of years and that helped a lot.

I hope the Soma will help and give you some relief.

Just an update here. The soma seems to be helping. The pain isn't totally gone but manageable.

I really haven't noticed any side effects. So, kinda liking it right now.
