Here is a website that I've found very helpful:
www.pparx.com Hope this helps. I will also be "insuranceless" as of 12/31/08. ![]()

Our meds are mostly paid for in Canada (universal health care), and I don't live in the US . . . but I hope some of the tips I've seen posted elsewhere might be helpful for you:
1.) www.pparx.org 2.) http://www.rarediseases.org/ 3.) www.edhayes.com/indigent.html 4.) www.themedicineprogram.com/ 5.) www.pharmwell.com/indigent.htm 6.) Try calling the drug companies directly: AVONEX: 1-800-456-2255 BETASERON: 1-877-836-5724 COPAXONE: 1-800-887-8100 NOVANTRONE: 1-877-447-3243 REBIF: 1-877-447-3243 TYSABRI: 1-800-456-2255 7.) Lower income patients can call Rx Council (1-866-794-3571) and tell them (or leave a message) what drug(s) you need. They will tell you who to get in touch with. It is for the lower income, and provides very low co-pays. Apparently you need a year's prescription with 3 refills. 8) 1-866-728-4368--Bridges to Access -- will direct you to the drug company that carries the med you need (order a 3 month supply). Cherie

Just dealt with this today myself. I suggest contacting your state's health insurance program AKA: SHIP (they also help folks without adequate insurance) and the Pharmacy Connection (much more complete than PPARX.com which is also helpful). We have also used Xubex in the past with good results.
Good luck!

Edited to say all the drug companies I've dealt with have low 3 month supply co-pays...
If you need Wellbutrin (as well as other drugs), call 1-866-728-4368. Baclofen, Klonopin & Xanax and a number of other drugs comes from Rx Outreach if I remember correctly; but most importantly it includes the middle income people. 1-800-769-3880. You can even have Part D coverage which doesn't cover Xanax or Klonopin and get these drugs if your income allows; 1-800-769-3880. Edited again to say the Federal Poverty rate is higher than State Poverty rates (at least in Pennsylvania). I now receive help from our Federal government. Help from MS disease modifying drugs: AVONEX: 1-800-456-2255 BETASERON: 1-877-836-5724 COPAXONE: 1-800-887-8100 NOVANTRONE: 1-877-447-3243 REBIF: 1-877-447-3243 TYSABRI: 1-800-456-2255 |
