But also, the sores on the tongue...have you been eating a lot of sugar lately? When I eat too much sugary foods, I get what I call "sugar blisters" on my tongue...kind of like the sugar might have caused a little "burn" or something. (I have no idea if those are actual burns, or maybe just little ulcers caused by too much sugar intake) The ear pain, I have no idea, and whatever's on your chin...no clue there either. Maybe you should go to the doctor tomorrow and get them checked out, just to make sure you dont have Y. Pestis (The Plague! also known as the Black Death of Europe!:rolleyes:) or something else. |
sounds like a bad outbreak of cold sores, or herpes simplex.
do you have a hx of cold sores? if it is, it's viral. since it's so extensive it also sounds like you need an antiviral med like valtrex. i'd call your dr first thing in the am. make sure you don't kiss anyone. don't share any glassware etc and put dishes in the dishwasher. it's contagious if someone else comes in contact with it. i'm not positive, so checking with your dr would be important. could come from stress. it's also possible that it's immune related. i used to get cold sores a lot and i take valtrex daily. i havn't had any problems since. |
Sally did you just go to the dentist? Just a question for my brain to think about.
I had a similar problem. Red sores in the back of my mouth, two on the sides, it hurt to swallow. One pimple on my nose and one on my chin. I am WAY over the age to get pimples, so this struck me as strange. None on the lip. My PCP and Neuro didn't have a clue. My ENT didn't either. Maybe something going around. I had the diarrhea after the fact also. I do not know if any of this is connected to each other or a really close similarity to yours, but I think it is bacterial. Not an Anti-B bacterial type. IMO What I did: I brush my teeth three times a day. I starting using GLY-OXIDE 1/2 fl oz., as an oral rinse. I swooshed a bit (one bottle squeeze) around my whole mouth, for a few minutes. It is gentle. It has a mild peroxide (to debride) in it, mixed with a mild wound healer. You spit it out and rinse once with a tiny bit of water so not to swallow the stuff. :) When I went to bed and in the morning, I put a dab on my finger and put it on the pimple on my nose and chin. BTW, they were a bit itchy I don't know why. But they all went away. Whether they would have gone away on their own, or not, I don't know. I saw improvement within one or two days inside and out the mouth. I hope you find something that helps or buy this OTC stuff in the toothpaste isle. Lady |
Lady, that makes the most sense of all, thanks..:)
I am going to get some of that Gly-oxide ASAP and see if it helps. I have been putting campho-pheneke on the outside sores but can't use that internally. This bacteria is just not going away anytime soon, so I need to do something. Why is it always a Holiday when this stuff happens:mad: Thanks so much. |
Sally, I find I always need a script refill, to talk to one of my Dr's, or see one for treatment and it is either a weekend or a Holiday. It never fails. I seem to be always saying, "I'll have to wait until Monday to call".
It is good we can bounce things off each other, or see who had the same or close to our problem.:) We all learn something everyday. :) Lady |
I hope they go away real soon Sally and you feel better:hug:

How you doing today,Sally?

I haven't been able to get to the store for some of the Gly-oxide but had a little paroxide, so rinsed with that and warm water...it helped. |
I'm glad it's a bit better. Maybe it'll just run it's course and go away. I hope so. Hang in there.
