Thumbs up

Went to the Nuero---He is one Heck of a guy--Unique and does not mince words---Anyone from Mass who is in the unhappy Nuero Position should try him----

He Changed me up Med wise----I mean like everything-----He put me on Baclofen---H/ S---! And Methadone.

Just from yesterday after one dosage--I noticed a change---I actually felt somewhat human----Truth--The Methadone worries me a bit-----It seems to be the high end--But I guess thats where I was-----So I guess if I take it as advised--It should be fine---

I am much closer to a DX---Which is good------So--I guess I really needed a bit of understanding-Not the humiliating treatment of my PCP--Who was once OK--I thought-----I am lucky in a way because I did see this Nuero before the different medications I was on----So he knew my SX's prior to me taking any meds.....Anyway--I am looking forward to life---Especially if this change for the better lasts----Not saying I feel like me 2 years plus ago----But I feel a lot better than I have since? Wow! I can't remember!!---Life changes when your pain goes from an 11 to a ? umm 4?-----

Again if it stays close to this---I will be able to live a life again---And that is great---

Wow--Good change--Good news---Who woulda thunk?

Sorry prior for being a freekin' cry baby---I am really not------really.

Is it the norm' to get a quick bodily response from the medication?

As I spoke to my Mother--Who Has Lupus--She just said--If you feel well that is great---But take one day at a time---And be happy with the days you are well----Something like that anyway---

BTW--I posted in the headache section---About an everyday headache------Note* the Nuero did not give me a specific headache med------Now here in Worcester MA---Its 28 Freezing rain----Cold-Raw---I would have the worst body aches and headache today-----And I DON'T-----He actually said---He thought this would take care of that Problem----And Day 1-1/2 it HAS

Sorry Now if I seem to be bragging---I am just shocked at the sudden positive change-------

I WONT ASK----If it will last-----I guess that is what my Mom was alluding to.......

This was one cool Miracle------I was not in the prayin" mode-----Who ever had that connection with Above for me---A Big Thanks

I'm so glad you got an understanding neurologist and that you're feeling better physically and spiritually, Pete. I can feel the sense of relief in your post. You'll continue to be in my prayers.

I'm so glad you're feeling better, Pete. Like your Mom said....just enjoy the days where your feel good. Apparently you finally found a doctor who knew what to prescribe to you and it works!! Prayers answered......you know a lot of us were praying for you here.

1 more question I think--Then I will be done here---Well this post---

Is it normal---I went 2 years plus in incredible darkness--Because of the illness-----These new Meds Make me feel like a new man----

OK the question-----Is I have been doin a ton of crying--------Is that just the emotional release-----of soo long?

Now that I feel better---I see so much pain out there-----I really was just inward focused for so long----

A quick history---I was one of the very few Christians--Devout in my Dept---And Actually tried to help some of the Bad Guys------

It really feels like I spent the last 2 years under a rock--------I love life again----care for people again-----Umm--I was actually able to have a conversation with my wife-----Past 6pm

Am I just totally bizarre---Or is this normal for people---

Last question on this thread---- thanks---

Thank goodness they have helped with your pain. Baclofen was a lifesaver for me when I had a rough patch from pain and spasticity for a couple of years.

Nobody should have to live in pain in this modern age, we have medicines that can help almost any kind of pain. It made my day to see your last few posts.

I'd say it's mostly relief and appreciation.

Sometimes we have to get angry to get through the really hard times, and when that emotion is on the top of the pile, it's hard to experience any other.

So glad this is working for you Pete!

Last question on this thread---- thanks---
First of all understand that pain can make you feel crazy. I take 100 mg of Tramadol every morning, just to get to work. That is a mild narcotic. I take ibuprofen several times a day. When the pain is really bad I take more Tramadol, however I pay for it with terrible constipation and dehydration. I was diagnosed in April of 2007 and started taking pain meds in November of 2007. The doc started me on Naproxen, it did nothing. Honestly you sound like you might benefit from a mild antidepressant. I resisted that, however have been on a mild dose of Zoloft since October and feel so much better. I think it actually helps with the pain. Be careful however I went on Cymbalta for a six week period, felt AWESOME for the first month. More energy and no pain, no pain,no pain, did you hear me. I thought I had found the magic potion, then all hell started to break lose in my bowels. I had tan stools, suffered from jaundice and when I checked and found that I was experiencing terrible side effects. I am not off of that thank God. Give yourself a break and forgive yourself. Humor helps. Take care.
