Help Who gets severe headache on IVSM?

I had my IVSM yesterday morning and aside from only sleeping 30 min. so far, I have a huge pressure headache when I lie down...it is actually scaring me...so is this normal?

Hi Deb,

Sorry about your headache! I get very high blood pressure on steroids and have to take lots of extra blood pressure meds. I also used to get headaches sometimes with the HBP. Do you have a gauge to check it?

Anyway, I hope you'll call your doctor, especially since it gets worse when you lay down.

I did one time when they infused it too quickly. The neuro rx'd some prescription naproxen for it and told me to make sure that the infusion takes between 1 and 2 hours to run through. Also, make sure you are getting enough potassium - I gave some tips for you on the Daily Insights, too.
