Yeah this guys keeps telling me it's MS but every symptom I have is not MS it's stress. Which it's not! He also tells me every ache and pain is muscular...which it's not. and of course it's caused by stress.

Told him i wouldn't be so stressed out if he would quit trying to kill me!SHEESH!

Uh, doesn't muscle pain come from spasms that can be caused by...MS?
Did your neuro get his degree at the same college as Bullwinkle...Whatsamatter U?

Time to get your records from this guy and hunt for a new one...good luck...

How frustrating -- trying to deal with a doctor that knows less than his patient!! It's a good thing you looked into your meds. I hope you find a new doctor asap so you can move forward instead of just running into the wall it sounds like you have been running into!

So many of us have had really awful Neurologists. :(

I have had a bunch and finally found one I really liked and trusted and wouldn't you know it; she moved to SLC Utah!

Now I gotta start all over again.

It is bad enough to KNOW something is very wrong and to have a Doctor tell you it's "nothing" is really frustrating.

The tests don't lie and neither do MRI's so if they show "something" then it can't be "nothing"!

When I moved from Connecticut to New HAmpshire, i was stunned by the difference in MD attitudes. I had been dismissed, and tished for so long, that I expected that was just the way the medical field works. I was shocked when in a routine visit, I was asked if I was in pain.! They cared?! When I said my back was bothering me, but it was old, and no one seemed to be able to figure it out, she stopped. she wanted to hear about it. she wanted to investigate it. really?! 5 years of complaining, and now this back woods country MD wanted to know. Well, howdy doo! I am moving back to CT after we sell this house, and I am more than a bit concerned that I will be back in the dimissive lane.

its just sad in the day and age of medicine that we are still treated like faking drug seekers.

I hope you find a new one quick.

A cautionary tale - my uncle was a couple of years post-prostate cancer and was having problems urinating. His urologist kept putting him on different meds, which weren't working, and never taking him OFF of anything. He eventually had him on 9 different drugs. My uncle's health just kept going downhill, until one night he just went wild! Luckily his son who was with him had EMT training, recognized the symptoms of a drug overdose, and got help immediately. He almost died and had to be fed and diapered like a baby for weeks afterward and had DT's complete with hallucinations. Months later he's still recovering.

DH and I thought he should sue the urologist or report him or something, but he says the guy is retiring now and won't be able to hurt anyone else. My uncle found a new urologist, who promptly discovered that his urethra was almost completely blocked by scar tissue. There was no drug going to fix that. How do idiots like that first uro ever get to be drs?
