Default Got my Avonex Back!

Yay! I've been off Avonex since my 3,000.00 deductible started over, and it's been awful. Yesterday I called them, crying, and offered them the money I have saved up for it. They are shipping it in time for my injection night tomorrow, and I'm SO HAPPY!!

Now I have to get ready for my old routine. Lots of Gatorade & ibuprofen. I'm curious as to whether or not my side effects will come back again full force. I had bad side effects until pretty much November, a year after I started it. No matter how sick I get though, I'm happy. I don't think I've been this thrilled since my wedding day! I just had to share my happy news.

I'm glad you got your Anonex back. Let us know about the side effects, I am curious to know as well. When I stopped Betaseron and was off it for a long while, then started Avonex, I got no side effects like I did with Betaseron although I was warned I would get them. I hope this happens for you as well and you don't get the side effects. Good luck.

I took Avonex for a year and a half and when I went off of it because of pregnancy I was worried about the side effects coming back, too.
When I started back on it my side effects didn't come back, I was so happy!

I'm on Tysabri now, no side effects but I still have 3 doses of Avonex sitting in my fridge... trying to figure out what to do with it.
Good luck!

Thanks for that, EthaNDomsMom! I am hoping the side effects won't be like they were in the beginning! But I'm so relieved to have Avonex again that I won't mind even if I get sick as a dog. It's good to hear your story though!
