i swear, every since this last box of new copaxone i CANT sleep! I am sleepy, I go to bed at a good hour. I just lay there! I have heard from others that the change in the mannitol with copaxone others are having trouble sleeping.

I am incredibly frustrated, and NEED sleep.

Yes Dej. I didn't realize how much it was disturbing my sleep until I quit C. Now I sleep through the night, no crazy dreams. I wake up rested.

Prior to, the last box and box I have in the fridge unused, I was having horrible dreams and waking every 1 to 2 hours. No trouble falling asleep, but staying asleep was another matter.

Why do they feel the need to go and change a good thing, if that's in fact what they've done? Maybe that explains my site reactions and such for the past couple months too?

I haven't noticed any difference in my sleeping lately and am on Copaxone ( over 9 years now). When I'm not woken by outside sources I sleep well and 8 hours or so. Not that I go to bed at a decent hour. That part I think may be an MS thing. I'm not sure, but see that lots of others with MS stay up real late too.
I hope you get some good sleep soon,Dej. I know how that can wear on a body, especially with MS.

I take mine in the morning with my coffee... Hey the only cabinet in my house that my DD can't reach is above the stove! It's easier to just do my shot while I am standing in the kitchen waiting for the coffee to finish brewing!

Although I am wondering if the crazy dreams I keep having are from the C.

Hi Dejibo,
When I was on "C" I always shot-up at night, after my shower. I didn't want to shower/bathe with an open wound/needle hole. Germs can enter. Also I thought the shot site would be fine by morning and not have issues with it all day at work.

Maybe trying it in the morning is a good idea like Frank and legzzalot suggested. It should be well into your system by then and maybe no trouble with sleep or staying asleep. Worth a try, IMO.

Is Insomnia on the "C" list of side effects? I don't remember. I always checked in the box for their insert paper. On the bottom right, it shows the latest printing date.

You can look if it's an updated insert. There maybe some changes or updates. I always kept them in a file for comparison. I hope you get some good, sound sleep.

Waking up all the time or fitful sleeping is not restorative sleep. Good luck

Yes, Desinie I am a Night Owl. Some people are Loons (birds that are up before the sun). I wish I could change it, but I sleep according to what my body demands.

I had to switch mine to morning injections too. Didn't realize it, but it was making it difficult to sleep when I did it at night. I sleep much better now that it's a morning thing.

its nice to know I am not alone. I always did great with it, till just recently, and blamo! I skip through sleep, have vivid dreams, and I am just not resting.

I am going to try to change my time to before noon. AM is a huge rush around here. Hubby is always in a rush to get things going, and done. I am gonna need to slow him down a bit.

Thanks for all the suggestions.

For the last several days I have switched to take the meds around 10am. I MUST take it before noon for my experiement to work. The last two nights, I have slept better. not great, but better. My dreams were not as vivid, and I feel that I slept more deeply, and stayed asleep for longer periods. I am still so exhausted, but if I keep headed in this direction I can manage. There was NO way I could keep going down the path I was on. I was just so exhausted, and grouchy, and felt ready to trip a relapse trigger. Sleep has always been a fixer upper for me. I can sleep for 2 days and avoid many things. its awful when you drift off for 10 minutes, and then spend the rest of the night tossing, and flipping. Even the cat stopped sleeping with me.

Will let you know in a few more days if the progress continues. Either I get sleep, or copaxone goes out the window.
