Default New Neuro Appt tomorrow!!!

I'm so excited I cannot sleep. or maybe it is the fact that aside from my hour and a half nap earlier i have been up since 7 AM yesterday morning. I dunno i do know I am looking forward to hopefully finding some answers. And hopefully something to ease the crazy numbness and the ON issues. I will let everyone know how it goes.

Default Update!

Just left Dr. Appt.

I really like the new neuro...even if she is 12. Yes, she is very young...but maybe that is a good thing.

She has decided that my sx's seem to indicate that this disease may be progressing. (yup, she used the p word) but it is not a definite as of yet. I get to look forward to another 5 days of the IVSM this time hopefully from home. Waiting to see if insurance co will pay for it since last time I was so sick by day 3 I had to have someone drive me to the hospital and back.

If that doesn't work she said we can try IG? I have no idea what this is but she says it is stronger than the IVSM.

And I get to go in next week for another set of MRI's to see if there are more lesions and how much any of them have grown.

So that is that i wait now for them to call me back about the steroids.

So glad to hear that your appt went pretty well, Legz - I'm so sorry that the Neuro feels that your MS is progressing though!!

It really sounds as though this Neuro is a Keeper and actually wants to do something to try and help you and relieve your symptoms!

I really hope that the IVSM helps you and that you don't have any nasty side effects like last time!

I'm thinking about you and please keep us all updated when you are able to!!

Like a female Doogie Howser? LOL..It's depressing to have doctors who look like I could've given birth to them..It was bound to happen sooner or later.

I think the younger doctors are the best. Not only are they fresh from the latest teachings at med school, they haven't yet had time to get jaded.

I think the younger ones tend to look at patients with much more interest, attention, and thoroughness than the older docs who know EVER-Y-THING about you before you open your mouth. When you're having trouble learning what's wrong with you, your best partner is a doctor who's also still devoted to learning.

Yay for young doctors, I say!!

YMMV.
