Default New sensation spot and muscle loss

I'm feeling quite down about things today. It hit me this morning how crap this deal is. Overdue anger and sorrow.

In addition, I feel a new spot on my heel that thinks it's wet under-foot. I hate having wet feet as it is, but to feel wet when I have my shoes on is very frustrating.

and I shaved my legs in the bath tonight and realised how loose my calf muscle has become. I can't explain it, not muscle wastage 'cos it's there if I tense it but it kinda hangs loose when I'm relaxed.

Any ideas what I can do??? I'm in need of some words of wisdom.

I hear you, Pud's and I am right there with you. My calve muscles do the same thing. I thought, at first, it was age catching up. but in further consideration, I realize it's muscle loss.

I can still flex too, but I have lost some muscle power there. Too much time in my scooter, I guess.

I have been trying to consentrate on doing more leg stretches and exercise and I've noticed that it seems to be helping.

I'm wondering if the hanging is caused by the MS muscles being over-flexed for a long time, while spastic and then, now relaxed.....Like when you're pregnant and then after, your tummy hangs for awhile, until you can get back in shape.

Try not to let it get you too down in the dumps. Cheer up and take charge. I'm with you all the way..

I got one of those bike pedal things that sits on the floor in front of your chair. they are pretty cheap, and help keep those muscles tone. I have been making an effort to walk a bit, and do my yoga stretches. I may never have those gymnast legs that were so bulky again, but I can try to keep them from turning into butter. its work! dont let anyone kid ya. You can also get those stretch bands they sell, and sit on the couch, stick one foot in and push against the band to stretch the muscle.

Hang in there.

Thanks.

I have two horses in the paddock waiting for a ride but it's been weeks since i got on. just haven't got it in me. Might have to trade them in for a static bike! They won't be pleased!!
