Frown Tired

I get so tired of the weird stuff that you never know if its ms or something else. I have a terrible time with muscle knots (I guess you would call it) in my neck and shoulder area. They say its stress, but I don't feel stressed. I start pt tomorrow for that and some nerve pain in my right side and down the front of my leg (does'nt appear in the sciatic area).

Yesterday I took a nap and got up with some strange feeling in my right ear, now its ringing to beat the band, makes me feel bad and I can't stand loud noises and I feel like I can't hear very well. My ears have been ringing for a while but not like this. I try to just cope because after a while you seem crazy with all this stuff.

Some days you just want to scream!

It's okay to scream some days. Whatever it takes to survive. I know it can be very frustrating. There are a lot of good people here on NT to listen and understand what you are going through. I hope your days soon get brighter!

Hi Kat.....welcome to NeuroTalk! I hear you about the crazy symptoms. I hate to assume everything is MS, too.....but for me it usually turns out to be the case. I feel like a hypochondriac as I try to rule out what it could and couldn't be. I've learned to wait things out before I panic and assume that the sky is falling although it's taken me a while to learn how to do that!

I have something similar..Or maybe exactly the same, I don't know ..First my neck hurts, then my shoulders, and then I feel muscles knot up between my shoulders and it hurts like heck..I went to PT, he worked thru the muscles and it felt so good for about 30 minutes or so, then would come right back. I was told to try ultrasound as the heat goes deeper to reach the muscles there more effectively. I haven't done it yet, but may give in and try it if this keeps up. You're totally right about the frustration with MS vs something else..I tend to blow them all off, which isn't good either..

Default Kat,

I can't sleep...so on my computer. I ran across your thread again, and I'm wondering how you are doing. I know is is SO frustrating. It is just constant. You never know what to expect next. You are constantly treating symptoms. And it DOES just get SO OLD.

I hope this week is going better for you. Sometimes I physically feel the same from one week to the next. But, because I get worn out and tired of staying positive, mentally I get down. And even though I'm the same physically I have a much harder time dealing because of the mental. Does that make sense. Is it this way for you?

Just wanted to send a your way!
My thoughts are with you!

I know where you're coming from. You sound like me.
I find my shoulder and back aches the day after I take my Beta shot. My flu stuff has gotten less but I'm struggling the next day more than ever. Tired, aches, lack of coordination, just want to crash on the sofa.
It's a tough ride most of the time. and I have to find time to fit in work and earning money!! Yikes, when is that supposed to happen??

Kitty:

You'll have to excuse my lack of know how in how to use this site, I happened upon it and I immediately felt better just knowing that there are others with the same weird symptons and thoughts about MS as myself.

My latest problems with my back and leg sent me to my FP. She ruled out everything but sciatica. I've been going to PT, he said it sciatica joint issues, its very painful at times, I'm trying the exercises, I hope this works. I forgot that I had an appt with my neruo NP coming up next week, thats great timing.

I try not to complain, like you said, I feel like a hypochondric sometimes, but it seems like it is always something strange going on. I usually go for a few weeks before I give in and go to the Doc so I don't seem like I'm crazy. I know my husband gets tired of this so I keep quiet as long as I can.
