Exclamation Novantrone (Mitoxantrone) Warning!

I hate when this stuff pops up in my news alert but we should all be aware:

http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?p...&refer=germany

Quote:
April 30 (Bloomberg) -- Patients who took Merck KGaA's Novantrone to control multiple sclerosis were three to 10 times more likely to develop leukemia than in previous reports, an Italian study said.

Thank you! My neuro has mentioned novantrone as a possibility as I have not been able to tolerate the other treatments. I do not think my MS is advanced enough to warrant this drug. I knew about the possiblility of developing leukemia of heart failure, but his study suggest that there is a greater possibliliyt than my neuro mentioned.
