One last newbie question to help pick your brains here if that's alright.
For those of you who have experienced pins and needles sensations have you had that become very painful, almost like a fire sensation for several days? Again, I'm just trying to match up my symptoms to discover if I'm in the right place or not. Thanks. |

I know that my pins and needles gos through phases that sometimes I just know that they are there and sometimes It is more intolerable. But as the years go by I just know that they are a daily part of life and that by feeling them I know that I am still alive! there are a lot of people that have absolutely no feeling so I am grateful that I do have.

Same here Kris. Neurontin is not too bad of a med for helping with the painful b urning pins and needles. Ask your Neuro about it.
No question is bothersome.. ![]()

Pins and needles is how mine started. I had such a pain in the left side of my face, exactly half of my face, neck, collarbone, shoulder, arm. P&N to the point where it was like spiders crawling over me with hot feet. I thought it was dental, luckily my dentist refused my plea to extract a tooth. Chiro couldn't help; i thought it could have been a slipped disc. Then believed it to be trigeminal neuralgia seeing as it was exactly half my head affected. Now residual of p&n when it was in my thumb and fingers is the feeling that they've been hit with a hammer and are just buzzing with pain now.
Dexterity still affected; to the point that I've dropped and smashed practically all our crockery and every cup and glass without a handle. It's an awful feeling. You're not alone. |

suffered with the pins needles pain for years, sometimes was sooo very bad, especially in my face, now I take neurontin, as I could not stand it, I still feel the feeling I get with it numbness feeling, but then the pins needles do not come....
But I did manage 9 years, of just dealing with it, I was always making strange faces like if i would stretch it would go away... never worked but I habit would do it... I looked pretty funny doing that... just could not deal anymore... good luck, hugsss, sarah

sometimes my feet burn like I am barefoot standing on scorching summer hot pavement. Or if you hike a long distance in a new pair of shoes and it brings on the you rubbed the soles of your feet raw feeling. OUCH! It does go away with rest and time, but makes me crazy while its there.
