Get thee to a doctor, ASAP. Don't mess with staph infections...especially while being on TY.

I had an infection from having stitches removed from behind my ear. I was given antibiotics-nothing was working. I ended up in the hospital due to pain and infection getting worse. It was finally cultured; it was psuedomonis, I was put on Cipro; it worked I was fine.

I had been on Tysabri for 1 1/2yrs at the time.

If it were me I would go probably to the emergency room.

You guys always give the best advice and support!! I went to a big Urgent Care place affiliated with a hospital in Memphis. I'm sitting in the waiting room now. It's packed so I may be here awhile. Once I get this straightened out I have to get on the road and drive to Mississippi. I will keep you posted.

UPDATE: It doesn't look like the infection has spread which is good. She gave me 1 more week of antibiotics (since my doc had only given me 7 days worth). Maybe I was being overly vigilant for nothing but I guess you kind of have to be when you're on Tysabri, right? thanks again! :)
