Default cooling vest?

Does anybody know of a particularly good cooling vest that would allow me to do a little yard work this summer? I am simply tired of getting overheated and burned out in ten minutes.

I have one from Coolmedics (coolmedics.com), it works great, and bonus, it is actually kind of cute too! They also have a cap thing that goes under a hat, which is perfect when you don't want to look silly in public.

The MS Association of America (MSAA) will send you a cooling vest for free - just fill out a few simple forms and include note from your doctor saying you have MS. I got mine last year and it was great! They also send some extras - you have choices of pillow cases, neck wraps, headbands, etc.

Hi Marion . I have one that Bets gave me last year (what a sweetheart ). I have gained weight and it is practically new. It's a size small. If you think it will fit you I'd be happy to send it to you. Pm me if you like .

cooling vests work well.
so does a cooling collar. i got several a walmart for under $5 one summer.
i used them at work and they were great.

you could google, and also check with your local MS society for info.
but, i've heard that MSAA is a great source of help.

Joelle, thank you so much for such a generous offer, but I am a rather large person (6’ tall in my stocking feet) so I will require a large size vest.

Bets, I checked the website you mentioned, and you're right,a cooling vest that's actually cute! Does it work well?, is it wet when you put it on?

Thanks, Diana

It works really well. It is supposed to fit snug for full benefit. I ususlly wear a t-shirt under it and then a loose shirt over it if I'm going somewhere public -even though it is cute it is still a bit dorky to wear a quilted vest in 90 degree weather. No it isn't wet, it only absorbs a little moisture inside.

Did you see the ones with swarovski chrystals? Aren't they rediculous?
