Default CPK question

My new neuro seems to be concerned because my CPK is high. I thought this was a test to measure muscle damage or inflammatiion. She thinks it might be due to my reaction to a statin but I've been off it for months. I've had the level tested twice and now she wants it a third time. Does anyone know what she might be looking for?

She has done other tests for inflammation and they are all normal. This is the only one that is high.

Some drugs cause elevated CPKs...besides statins.

But elevated CPK can also mean mitochondrial disorders.
I believe other muscle problems may also present this way.
