My really bad eye on the right side is here lately been to where I can't see and the other one has been hazy. I don't know if its another case of optic neuritus. I don't have vision insurance although I have doctor insurance. I don't want to do steroids again but then again I don't want to be blind. Hugs and everybody is having as good as possible weekend.

AGreed! you must not play with your vision! Go to an ER, and explain to them that you are UN insured, and ask for Indigent care. You MUST fill out paperwork with them, and get assurances from the billing clerk that you will be provided emergent care at little or no cost. its a MUST that they allow indigent care if they accept medicaid or medicare payments.
This would be covered under your regular insurance in most cases. You need an MRI or a CT scan to see what is happening with that nerve. I hope you feel better soon. ![]()

I went to my ophthalmologist and he was the one who first mentioned MS when he diagnosed optic neuritis. It was covered under my medical insurance because it was for a medical vision problem. It should be covered under your medical coverage as long as you use an ophthalmologist.

I go to the Optomologists all the time to have my eyes checked when
ms acts up and it is covered under medical care. Even for cataracts. It is the Optomotrist that just checks eyes for glasses that is not covered uless you have special coverage for him. I don't. Jappy |
