TMS (transcranial magnetic stimulation) is a therapy that uses magnetic pulses on the brain to create an electrical field in brain tissue.
One of the links discussed that the effects of the stimulation lasted 7 days for leg spasticity, so it might be prohibitively expensive if stimulation was necessary on a weekly basis.

Thanks for the info, I had not heard about this ongoing research.
