Default Was going to move out doc appointment until....

this week.

I saw the NP earlier this month about some issues I was having. I had an appointment to see the neuro early july, and she suggested I hold on to it as a "just in case". Was planning on calling today to move it out, but been having a fun week.

New symptom - barbinski type reflex when walking.

The toes grip like they should on the right side, but the left has my toes flaring up and out. good grief!! Even with me concentrating, it still happens - causing my balance to go out the window. Even fell once today. Wearing my crocks to see if that helps.

So making a long rant short, keeping next week's appointment with nuero.

does this make you a Babinski Babe? (trying to make you laugh whle dealing with a pain i the *** problem)

All joking aside, try stiffer soled shoes to give you more of a stable surface under you feet. I live in my sneakers or my dress shoes to counteract th toe thing. Good luck and I hope this is only temporary!

LOL! Maybe I should get that made into a t-shirt.

I have been wearing my crocs more often, which have helped me a little. I'd rather be wearing sandles, but I like not being down on the ground.

Barb, the barbinski reflex is when a doc runs an instrument across the bottom of the foot and the toes flare out instead of curl under. Best description I have for what's going on.

~~~~~~~
Still kinda "blah", so haven't been posting much on NT. You guys are great to vent to , but I hate being a complainer and it's sometimes hard for me to be supportive when things feel like they are going crazy. My upbringing I suppose.
Called the doc's office to confirm appointment and to let them know what's going on. Neuro sounded concerned and was almost willing to see if they could squeeze me in earlier. But we left it for Thursday, so we'll see how this goes.
UPDATE:
Had doc appointment. He said presentation of symptoms was atypical (what else is new?). I did notice my left leg was weaker this time.
He wants to stick me in the tube again, with valium this time to see if it will help keep me from moving. The last MRI report of the spine had issues with movement on my part, no matter how still I thought I was.
Since he wants to do an MRI, no steriods right now. fun, fun, fun. Thinks the Rebif is compounding my fatigue and gave me some suggestions for possible supplements that might help with that.
So yep, long and short of it.
have fun shooting the tube (joy-not!)
Let us know how things turn out. In the meantime I hope you fall less often (not at all would be even better, eh) and be careful to tuck and roll...
