I use mouthwash that doesn't have any alcohol. Tastes like toothpaste.

My dentist said it's common for the meds we use to help us with MS to give dry mouth.

I use a toothpaste that is supposed to be specially for dry mouth. It does not work. I will try the Orbit Mist. It's gum right? I don't normally chew gum so I am clueless.

well...I am clueless anyway...

It probably does...I like Eclipse, but it does have Aspertame. I don't chew it too often, because of that. I will not drink anything (pop or juice) made with Aspertame, because of it's effect on me, but an itty bit isn't going to kill me......I hope..

I use Oasis mouthwash made by Sensodyne. It's not cheap, but it works.

I've tried Biotene, but I like Oasis better.

The lesser of two evils!! I do not drink Aspertame but fear effects of dry mouth and teeth. Not usually a gum chewer so chew to release stuff in it, hold in cheek, chewing occasionally. Mouthwashes are used but not real effective. Water doesn't shoot out my ears like the commercial of course, but Mist makes a real noticeable difference in my saliva production, even when no gum in mouth. So benefits outweigh potential risks for me and use when talking a lot or on phone, both which dry me considerably.

It's certainly not a cure, but a band aide for me. Shoot, I take 4-AP, a bird poison, Sure that's worse!!! I drink water when eating, avoid talking and chew a lot. I drink water all the time, No wonder I pee!!!!
