I'm right with you...been at least 100 for over a month. Needless to say I'm a shut-in until Fall! Even the water in the pool gets to warm to go swimming!
|
i really feel for you Nat. it was 90 here in denver and i couldn't stand to be out.
try wetting your head/hair and blow a fan on yourself. that might help a bit. i hope the summer goes fast for you. too bad about the move. |
Are you allowed to complain? Let me check the files..
OF COURSE you're allowed to complain! My gosh, I start complaining about the heat when it gets over 75, and don't even get me started on what Winter can do..Hope it cools down some soon, though I know we're not even halfway thru summer yet so odds aren't good..Move North, young lady! |
Make sure your electric company knows of your medical neeed for the AC. Get a doctors statement saying so.

Natalie8 - you get a tax break under medical when filing your taxes.

I wasn't aware of the tax break. I do know if you have a medical need that they cannot purposely shut your electricity off. People who have medical equipment that rely on electricity cannot be shut off for non-payment (not sure of this but I've heard of it) but I'm sure there are some stipulations that apply.
|
Some electric companies will actually give you a reduction in your bill on electric if they know there is a medical need for the increase of AC. It shows your not just being a baby, you MUST be cool. The tax break for the cost of and maintenance of the AC help as well. The electric bill to run the AC can be deducted in portion as well.
Think cool thoughts! |
