Yes, that's the one. Thank you for posting the link and the welcome. I had to remove the link because am have not posted enough to include it in a quote. It is a good thing I am not trying to sell anything. I bet that helps keep the people that are trying to sell something off the site. |

I always enjoyed biking(my main souce of transportation) when I was growing up. I push myself to pedal fast and try to increase my distance each week. Since we have so many people that want to use the motomed, I usually get 15 minutes on it. |
My exercise plan for today is walking around Target with DD17 as she gets things for her dorm.:D While it is not my 1st choice for exercise at all, I hate to shop, it is inside and in a/c.;)
BBS1951 - Yes, I am a desert rat. In areas of the state (AZ) they are having excessive heat warnings. No outside activities for me for a while.:( |
Thanks for the reply Ladylurk.
Tkrik, bummer on walking around Target. I also do not care for shopping, espeically in the big boxes. Everytime I see your name, I think of Tikrik in Iraq-- is that what it stands for, or is it coincidence. I swam a mile this morning and the pool looks alot better. I did free weights for 30 mins last night. |

I never thought of free weights. What a great idea. I always forget the things I have at home too. I have a balance disk type thing that came with a DVD. I did that for a while and I think it helped my balance. I had to hold on to a chair to do it though. I also have resistance bands that I should pull out and start using again. Those are a major work out but good for spasticity. |
Yes, resistance bands could be a super good thing to try.

My routine has changed in the last several days.
We took a mini-vaction to Mt Rushmore. Lots of walking and I even fit in my PT exercises :D I am in love with the Black Hills except next time we go up there I want to make sure it's not bike rally week  :D Today we headed for the mountains here in Colorado for a picnic and a little bit of hiking. I have been on the Elliptical 3 times during all of this. Didn't make the 2 mile mark (30 minutes) but was able to cover 1 mile one day and 2 1/2 miles the next two days. Cindy, I'm going to be asking my PT about treking poles. How is that going for you? |
Spinning class again last night. 48 minutes, max 88% of max HR, avg 78% of max HR, 743 calories burned. The instructor came in and said "this is my third class of the day so my legs are cooked...do you want hard moderate or mellow?" We all said "you know we will do whatever you tell us to do, so you pick." He didn't let up on us at all...but it was fun as always.

I like to check in here every day. It keeps me motivated to not slack off.:) I'm not saying that MSers are lazy...only this one is, for sure..
Thanks for the help.. |

Tomorrow is swim aerobics class and they have a new eliptical exercise machine on the floor which I will try and see if I am able to do it. Today; I just finished some light cleaning; just dusting and swiffering. I get my work done first then I have earned my computer time! That's my incentive. ;) |
