Hi Snoopy, my you have been very active--Mt Rushmore--wow! And eliptical on top of that?! My BIL works for the parks service and was able to stand on one of the heads at Mt. R!

SallyC, I'm glad this thread is helpful to you. That is part of the intent, to inspire others to move more.

TxBatman, what can I say--keep on keeping on.

AZJanie, tell us tomorrow how your swim aerobics and/or elliptical goes. I am so bad at elliptical. I am only a swim maven.

Swam one mile this morning in 50 minutes. It was very wonderful -- before the sun hit the pool, and before work

oh how I wish to be swimming more... I can not afford the Y anymore, and the lake is near by, but hard to get there for a real swim... (five kids..hehe)

anyhow, golfed many days in row, today may have to skip any exercise as I worked my 8 hours and my back last night and even today during work is spasms badly I took the tramadol last night, and seemed to subside it eventually... and I took one now, was trying not to take it in day, as do not want to get used to it for pain relief... but the spasms are feeling like labor pains but in the back... no not preggo lol...

hugss and great job all, sarah (maybe I will do some yoga.. after a rest as that helps stretching right)

Took a couple hikes today, even some with cane only, wow! I'm moving more now than I have in a long time and it's good!

That would be so cool! Of course, I would probably be too chicken to go that high There is a beautiful lighting ceromony in the evenings, It's just an amazing place day or night.

I had PT today and went grocery shopping for 2 weeks worth of food for four

I got on the elliptical this evening but decided to use it backwards. I do that sometimes. I like how it makes my legs feel but it's hard to get much distance in - I did less than a quarter mile.

Back to spin class this afternoon. Normally I would go on Saturday instead, but the instructor for the saturday morning class just isn't one of my favorites. The one who taught the afternoon class today IS one of my favorites. She is from Venezuela and always plays all kinds of really high tempo Latin and Samba style music. She is a tiny little thing (like 4'10" maybe?) and has run several iron man triathlons (2.5 mile swim, 112 mile bike, and 26.2 mile run), so she is in incredible shape. She always has a huge smile all class long and makes everybody want to try to keep up, even if we know it is futile...

Anyways...52 minutes, max HR 88% of max, avg HR 77% of max 755 calories burned. Tomorrow morning is lawn mowing time and Sunday we are probably going to try to get up early and do 30-35 miles out on the roads before it heats up too much. Have a great weekend and keep moving y'all!

What a great instructor TxBatman. You are probably their most loyal member at cycling

Snoopy, backwards elliptical? thats interesting, I've never heard of that.

I swam 1 1/8 mile today--an extra 1/8 because there was time and the water was so sparkling and refreshing. Was aiming for an extra 1/4, but the foot felt like it would go into cramp mode if I continued. It was still great!
