Default Happy Day After

I hope everyone had a nice Holiday, which ever one you celebrate. I celebrate Christmas and I had a great day with my Family and Friends. It was like open house here at my house.

It started out with my Daughter, her Hubby, their five Kiddles....then my Daughter's friend and her Hubby and their two kids visited, and then my SSon dropped in. For someone who lives alone, this was a housefull. ....but what fun.

I'm glad it's over, though and I can get back to my normal, uneventful, mundane life..Lol All that work for a couple of hours of Joy. Was it worth it? You bet....but I'm glad it comes but once a year.

So, how was your Holiday?

Love and Hugs,

We were on the road Christmas Eve and virtually no traffic. Drove two hours to my daughters family to spend Christmas Eve and Christmas day with them. Got to see my two grandsons on Christmas morning with all of the excitment and opening their Christmas gifts. Sean is three and Morgan is a little over a year and a half. He does whatever big brother does so it didn't take him long to get the hang of opening gifts.

Poor Sean had a serious cold and Morgan has his two eye teeth coming in so we had to deal with, excuse the expression, multiple snot rags and constantly runny noses as well as red watery eyes. All of the adults had a great time as my son flew in from Chicago to spend the Christmas Holidays with us. It was nice to have the whole family together.

Then there was the two hour trip back home on Christmas day in the early evening. Again, virtually no traffic on the Interstates and it was smooth sailing all of the way back home. My son leaves today to go to Washington DC to visit college friends and then they will move the party to Philly. He'll be back by Sat to fly back to Chicago to spend the New Years with his Chicago buddies. Youth!

All in all a great Christmas Holiday. Just sorry I missed the Candle Light Service at our church.

Hello Sally and Carig,
I'm glad to hear you both enjoyed your holidays with your children and grandchildren. You both sound like you were quite busy but happy nonetheless.

We celebrated both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with my In Laws, and my Husband's brothers and sister who all live within 5 miles of us. All in all it was a rather lovely holiday, and I even had today off to sleep in. Tomorrow, I return to work, but hope that it won't be too busy this week.

I hope everyone had a lovely holiday.

All the best,

Chris
