Hi,
I have no Dx, but ms-type symptoms for 4 months now. the first 'relapse' was for 8 weeks, then I was ok for 4 weeks. This time around it's been 8 weeks so far, but getting worse this last week. - really worse. Really having trouble walking, worse pins and needles, and my arm is numb again and it all started with an episode of maybe an 'MS hug', that ended me up in hospital. (first time i've had this type of chest/rib pain). My question is, IF this is MS, can this be a 'typical' pattern, of "worse", then "not so worse", then "really worse" all within 8 weeks?? The neuro is also testing for myasthenia gravis. results not back yet. Thanks, Michelle

There is no "typical" for MS. It does what it wants, when it wants. (sorry!)

Hi Michelle,
I agree with Erin. There is no two people with the exact same symptoms. We are all unique, lucky us. ![]() Sometimes people have "Classic MS" and get Dx'd right away. All the ducks line up on a row pointing to MS. But with a clear Brain and C-spine, it is hard to get a dx for anything right now. Did you have a Spinal Tap or Visual Evoked Potentials? T-spine MRI? Nothing is clear cut. No one size fits all. You will have to wait and see like many of us did. Your doctor has to rule out other diseases in order to rule what you really going on with your body, and with your symptoms. Good luck to you. ![]()

Lady, I haven't had a spinal tap, and yes I had the VEP, which was clear too. The T-spine MRI is in 3 weeks. I guess I was hoping if the pattern of my symptoms wasn't 'typical of MS' then it isn't!! I'm still hopeful it's not MS until I get a dx. That's the only thing keeping me going.
