Missing out again because of the humidity.

Today I ran some errands with my DH and DD and of course the heat and humidity wiped me out. So we were just going to hang out around the house this afternoon giving me the opportunity to do the laundry (it multiplies by itself you know!).

Wouldn't you know, my BIL calls and asks if we wanted to go out on the boat. So DD and DH are out on the boat while I sit here in the AC doing laundry. The worst part is that I will miss my DD water skiing!! So I can't tell if I'm more sad or more angry right now.

I'm so sorry you didn't get to go ......maybe they'll take some good pics to share with you.

Cooler weather is just around the corner. Maybe you can make it up to yourself with a nice picnic once the weather is better.

In similar situations, I feel both sad AND angry, but I'm getting a little less so each time I "miss" something. We're also having the same heat wave (what we up here in the Northeast call more than three days over 85, right?) and I've missed a couple of invites, too.

I used to feel frustrated and angry when I had to say no to something I wanted to do. Now I find that I'm more sad, because I don't really want to do those things, knowing how miserable I'd be, either during or after the fact.

I'm in the same boat and understand your feelings. I cannot tolerate heat, humidity and since last summer cannot be in the sun for more than 30 seconds; burns my skin.

I live for Spring & Fall weather living here in Pennsylvania. I walk in the evenings, etc. I can be outdoors again!!

Right here with you babe,
not too hot today, but humid... mine is due to I can not overdo along with humidity... I played golf yesterday, worked 8 hours today... I wanted badly to go golf with hubby tonight a bit.. but my back is spasms tonight, and I know if I would go and enjoy I would be worse later or tomorrow. I hate holding back the fun!!

i understand how you feel.
it's a sense of loss for we once were able to do and have trouble with now.
at least for me it is. it doesn't hit me that often but when it does i'm very sad.
