Thumbs up Port is IN!!!!

Hi guys! Awoke yesteray to my hema/onc telling me that myl line was being placed that day........surprised me but I have been waiting. It took about 2 hours and I was so scared that they had to heavily sedate me, but all is well!

I am on my 3rd day of IV IG and already feel better - my strength is returning - YAY!
I will also have a shunt placed in my arm soon, that way I get get either IV IG or the plasma exchange monthly.......

Good things are coming..........

Hope you are all feeling strong and happy!

Love,
ERin

Default Hi Erin

congratulations on getting the port put in! You've waited long enough.

Glad the magic juice is working, long may it continue.

Congratulations, Erin, you well deserved these improvements!
I surely would'nt blow your happyness but I hope you've been given clear indications on how to avoid infections as these ports and permanent shunts are open doors to our internal system and infections could be severe…
Maurice.

Hi Erin,

I'm glad that you got your port in and that the IViG is going so well! You'll have lots of strength when you go to visit your niece, and you'll have a great time!
