Unhappy Tragic loss of a friend

A friend of mine who works where I do lost her husband last night. He was hit by a drunk driver while riding his bicycle. He was 46 years old. He was killed instantly. The young woman who hit him is 21. She had two prior DUI's. The man who got killed was also a friend. My son used to work for him. He led the praise team where I was going to church before I started feeling so bad. It was a very sad day for their family. Please keep them in your prayers.

Simon,
Thanks so much. I was gone for two weekends and I have just been too tired after work to get on the computer. Tonight I had caffeine for supper so I am awake! I will let the family know you are praying for them. That is what will get them through right now. I hope you have been doing ok. I hope you haven't fallen any again recently. I haven't had any more severe problems with my leg. It just feels wobbly at times but nothing bad. Take care.

What a horrible tragedy for everyone involved in and touched by this senseless loss. Of course thoughts and prayers are with you and family.

(Many years ago, I was hit head on by a drunk driver. The way it changes everything in the blink of an eye can not be comprehended. At first shock protects, then clouds, and finally the reality begins to creep in. And, at first, there is a huge support system - that slowly subsides to a trickle when it is actually needed the most. Hopefully, your church members can 'be there' in six months...and 12 months - when the family will be struggling through their new reality.)

So sorry for your loss of a freind & the families loss ! It makes me so made, when I hear of a death, due to drinking or drugs, very sad.

Wish I could take the pain away,

Very sorry to hear about your friend's husband. Our prayers are certainly with his wife and family. Always bad to hear such news dealing with drugs or drinking.
