Okay, guys, now you're making me feel like a weirdo! A lot of you have seen the pumpkins and not said anything. Geez, I didn't mean that you guys had to try this or to put you down for how you do it! The plain old regular way of carving is just great. I'm sorry if I made you guys feel bad.

Default Hi Annie

Love the pumpkins!

What makes me happy, coming down to my computer in the morning and logging into this site to see what you have all been up to overnight! Usually theres been some crazy postings......like the one about hair removal! LOL

Spending time with my family, catching up with friends. Laughing with my husband, like when hes being dizzy. He rang his mum a few months ago to tell her he'd planted "labia's" in the back garden - he meant lobelia. OMG did I laugh at that one. Laughing at my husbands mum when she gets her words wrong - it must be a family thing! Telling us that Jamies brother had choked at work and had to have the heiniken manouevre (heiniken is a type of beer here, Im sure he wouldn't have minded).

Watching comedy stuff like MASH, Everybody Loves Raymond, or just plain old fashioned stand up.

Reading good books when double vision allows, anything from Dan Brown, Jane Austen or Thomas Hardy. All the books I thought were utter rubbish when I did my English A-levels.

Sitting out in my back garden in the sunshine and looking at the plants we have grown.

Its amazing what simple things you enjoy when you stop working and have to take it easy. You have the time to appreciate it .

Love
Rach

Thanks, JCPA.

You know what makes me feel good, Rach? Your sense of humor!!! My Dad was an English teacher and loved to do those word mixups on purpose. I love the Heiniken one. We have that over here too. I wish I could drink beer!

I'm a garden freak too. Nature is about the only thing that can calm me when things get really bad.

Rach - - loved your malaprops!

Here are some other 'real world' malaprops from a lady I used to work with:

segregated knives (instead of serated knives)

serated steak (instead of seared)

open flush (instead of 'open flesh' ...like when Madonna wasn't wearing a lot of clothes when she performed.
It took us a while to figure this one out - but it was repeated enough so we know she
really meant it!

And one more fun thing you made me think of Rach....old Carol Burnett skits with Tim Conway and Harvey Korman. I howl 'til I can't take a breath!!
