Rach,

I too have them and well, just figured it goes with the MG. I know I don't have sugar problems. Heck I just live with it..LOL

Okay, guys, night sweats are not normal whatever the cause! If you have them, tell your doctor about them!!! You don't have to live with them if your doctor is smart and can figure out why!

Thank you for that Annie, but you know and I know I shouldn't say this, but I get so sick and tired of going to the Dr and everytime I go I have something else "wrong" maybe I will feel differently next time I see Dr. I just don't want to take anymore meds, don't know whats worse, the illness or the side effects of the meds :(

I completely relate, Joanmarie. I only go to the doctor now when it's an emergency or to get drugs refilled.

Hi Rach!

Hey sweetheart!

I have nightsweats due to the pred. I never, ever had them before. Of course, I also sweat like a blacksmith during the day - thus requiring numerous showers! LOL! On the positive side, I now always smell like lavender!:D

Anything above 69 degrees and I am MISERABLE! Thankfully it is finally getting cold here!:D

Other than that, how are you?

Love,
Erin:hug:

night sweats

rach
i have had MG since 2001 and i have night sweats. i am past menopausal. i too sleep with a fan in all weather because i cannot stand to not have air moving. i wake up often with my clothes and pillow drenched. i am also insulin dependent but have checked my blood sugar upon awakening with sweats and it has been in the normal range. i take mestinon for MG and i perspire heavily during the day too. it is comforting to know that others have this. when i sweat so much during the day it is so embarrassing, but i do not know what to do about it. kater

Hi

I know thats a lovely topic heading! But I am wondering if anyone else out there suffers from night sweats. I remember reading a while ago that night sweats were a symptom of MG but I have never heard anyone else having them.

I have had them for possibly 5 years. So before I had ptosis or any real MG symptoms. I had them before I was on prednisolone or mestinon. I had my hormone levels checked and they came back fine. Ive had thyroid checks done they are all fine.

I dont get them all the time, but they now seem to coincide with when Im going to have a bad day with MG.

What Im talking about isn't the normal sweating you get on a hot night! This is the type where the bed clothes are wet, Pj's are wet, hair is wet. It wakes me up.

Just wondering if anyone there can tell me if they suffer with them. Im definately not menopausal LOL!

Love
Rach
