Default Thanks for the Support.

One year ago yesterday I was diagnosed with generalized myasthenia gravis. It has been quite a journey. I have learned so much about this disease and I am still learning. I want to thank everyone for your knowledge and your willingness to share. This site has helped me through a lot! What a wonderful group of people, thank you ~ Melanie

Melanie,
I couldn't agree with you more!!! I was only diagnosed a few months ago and have learned more here than from any of my Drs. Glad we all have each other here for support.

'.........' Anniversary, Melanie!

Can't say Happy - cuz it really isn't an anniversary you want any one to have to acknowledge in the first place.

But then, can't say Un-happy -- cause it better to know and have a dx.

so -o-o-o-o-o

Let's just say '.....' Anniversary!!

Couldn't agree with you more about the folks on this site. How lucky we are to have a place like this to 'share and care'.

Default Hi Melanie

You are right about the forum its such a good place for support and comfort.

Im sorry that you have reached your first year anniversary of being diagnosed. Im three years of having ptosis on January 11th 2010. I think I will be burying my head in the sand that day!

Love
Rach

Melanie, It is very nice to be able to go somewhere for support like this. Doctors can only do so much for us. No one can relate to a disease like a person who has it!

Can you believe it's been a year? Time just flies. And it doesn't get any easier as time goes by to say "no" to things your brain wants to do but your body can't. But, Rach, it doesn't help to bury your head in the sand just because a few doctors have decided to bury their heads somewhere else.

This site is just wonderful! I wish it had been around 11 years ago or I found it sooner, but I'm just glad I finally did. I'll never forget the first day I joined. I didn't know what a thread was. Luckily, it didn't take me very long to figure out. I wish I could just reach out and hug each and everyone of you! Thank you all for your support and friendship.

Hang in there Rach, you will get the help you so desperately need.

Big Hugs,
Pat
