I want to get some feedback on symptoms ive been having lately.
In the last week, driving has become an issue, i cant use both hands, they get too tired, so i have to switch arms, and even at that it is very tiring, my breathing is comprimised, ive had to take deep breaths because i felt as though i had no air, just when driving. My eye has been closed a few times fully my arms while typing get very very tired. and when swallowing my throat is just tired. just a few minutes ago i choked on some water, yet i tried agian just now, and i was fine.. Im going to go to sleep right now and see how i feel when i wake up, and decide if i should go to school or not. Thanks guys. |

Tyson,
When I get how you are describing, I ask myself, "if I drive myself to my appointment tomorrow"(and yes I do have an appointment tomorrow!! to get fitted for a cpap machine :-) ) "will I be able to SAFELY drive myself home" in my case the answer is no, so I asked someone to drive me. I'm lucky I have that luxury. I think maybe you need to start keeping a diary, keeping track of your symptoms, and how you are the next day. You are very early in your diagnosis, so you need to be very aware, and if in doubt, go to er, or ring your neuro, better by far to be safe than sorry!!!! Its easier to avert a crisis, than bring you back from the brink. As mg is sooo very different for all of us, what might be ok for me to "soldier on through" with rest and recuperate, might not be the same for you. Choking makes me think you arn't doing to well, and you can aspirate what you choke on and this can lead to other complications, so you don't want to be choking. Apart from the fact that its dangerous in other ways. So ask yourself, If I go to school tomorrow, will it exacerbate my already weakend state, will I take longer to recover, will I get much worse more quickly. I know so many questions, but unfortunatley mg can't be taken too lightly, and I know the feeling of wanting to do something badly enough you hope your mg will just magically dissapear overnight :-) I hope this helps some. take care, hope you get a good nights sleep, Kate
