Heart Hi Allen!

Hey hon! I'm so glad to hear you are feeling better! What wonderful news!

Now that you've learned your limits, you wanna help me learn mine? After 2 yrs I'm still trying to figure it out.....LOL!

Big hugs!
Erin

Im taking less mestinon now than I ever have. the past week or so no more than 60 mg a day just about, which is very, little as you know.
ofcourse, I havent been using my eyes as much, but still, things are just moving along. I try to explain how I feel to others, its near impossible.
its like a daily thing, things can be horrible one day, and nothing the next.
How do you explain that to someone when they ask you how you feeling lately?

Ive been extremely physically active this past week.
Climbing ladders, painting, just feeling it all at night, but not due to MG.
If I had to guess, I believe the treatment has paid off a little.
Im barely finding the need for mestinon. Im down to 15 to 30 mg a day, and my headaches are gone. My eyes arent disorienting me for the past week or so even at night. Ive been reading some magazines, feeling as if the eyes are just doing so much better. I dont push much, and Im going to attempt another outing with my wife and that will be the real test when I give myself a workout in a crowded public area at night to see if my eyes and body can handle it. Im a bit more enthusiastic.
Its difficult to admit I feel stronger. Its hard to come here and express some joy.
I know the misery some of you go through, I always hope and pray you get some relief. Keep fighting, never give in.

"Paid off a little??" I'm gonna BOP YOU!!!

Allen, it is OK to feel GOOD and NOT feel guilty about it!! ENJOY this reprieve from the PITTS of Hades -- savor EACH and EVERY minute of it!!!!!

And, when it is time for your NEXT IVIG -- remember that going through all of the "mess" is WORTH IT!!!!

the past 4-5 days is like someone injected me with vitamins.
For a couple of weeks Im sleeping so much better. Able to sleep late, relaxed, not tired during the day unless I overdo it, which I have been the past week because I feel so freekin great the past few days.
I hate to come here and say that. IVIG has to be working and working well.
I took 15 mg of mestinon today, at 8 pm, its now 9:20, I wont be taking any more today.
I feel a drop of stress in my eyes once I sit down and watch TV, but IM able to shave easier,(shaving, something Ive done for 40 years and took for granted, always a simple task, became so challenging, I dont know why) my eyes move with so much more ease. IM not getting any tired feelings in my arms and no sluggish feeling in my legs.I notice I can drive at night without much strain and no headaches the past 2 weeks. Parking is so much easier, my eyes respond when I turn my head now
I actually feel more alert during the day. No headaches.
thankyou all for giving me the confidence to try out the IVIG.
Im seeing my neuro tomorrow even though they are expecting heavy snow.
Im going away this coming week for a few days with my wife, I feel like its going to be a good trip.

* I didnt want to post this, since I didnt want anyone to think Im an idiot. But around 5 days ago, I noticed, yes, I actually felt it, a slight buzzing in my feet, hands, it lasted for a couple of hours. I dont know how else to explain it, but it felt as if I was touching something electrical. Not strong, but a sensation. Since then, I feel energized. No, Im no insane. But I wanted to share this.Perhaps it was all in my mind, I didnt pay much attention to it when it was happenning, I figured I was having some kind of tingling sensation, not worth noting or thinking about, it went away.

I saw my neuro today before the blizzard hit full force. He was closing his office early, and they called me to come in early.
He wants me off the mestinon.
Im down to only 15-30 mg a day.
He says Ill be able to figure out when or how long the IVIG lasts, and then I wont have to go into the hospital anymore,he'd have it done at my home.
Good day all around.

Allen...I have to say that I love this thread...it's a play-by-play story with a very happy ending...I'm so happy for you, and I agree with Jana, that it's great to see that you are happy too and are getting the results that you so deserve!

For all those people who will be getting IViG in the future, this will be a bright glimpse into what's to come for them.

Cheers,
Nicky

I havent taken any mestinon since weds 9pm.
40 something hours without a dose and my eyes are functioning great, and I worked all day today on computer at work.
been on it since april last year. stuff is kicking in solid.
its almost a shame I have to wait until I feel like I need it again to actually get another dose. dont ever want the headaches and vision problems to come back, and I forgot to mention to the neuro, I havent experienced any jaw pain the past week or so.
