Allen,

The way you describe your experience after the IViG is the exactly how I feel after PLEX. Doesn't it feel great to feel almost completely normal again? I'm really happy that this worked for you!

Enjoy the game!
Nicky

P.S. I also don't have to take mestinon to operate after PLEX. I just take the mestinon SR before going to bed.

P.P.S Congrats again!

I didnt want the headaches to start, so I took a mestinon at 9:40, I was still watching tv, and I guess I Pushed a bit too far.
I just took another 15mg, only because when I close my left eye my vision in my right eye was starting to go completely blurry.
My wife says she thinks my right lid has a tiny droop to it, not anywhere as pronounced as it was in the beginning, but maybe I have to adjust.
I did have fantastic vision this morning, my eyes were wide open and looking up was absolutely no challenge, so Im a bit confused. I wont lose all hope, Ill see how I feel tomorrow, and certainly wont strain my eyes like I did today.

Im now discouraged as to the care and respect I will receive as a patient, and trust me, I need very little of either to make me feel welcome.

I must retract this statement somewhat.
No one on the staff treated me any different than any other patient, I guess its just a bed thing, its there or not there.
I did notice a few looks like wow, hes up out of bed using his laptop alot, he looks pretty good, does he belong in this bed for a week?
who knows, but I post what I feel at the moment.

Question

Im not sure how long a wait people are supposed to wait after resuming normal activities after a 5 day hospital ivig stay, but Ive spent the last 2 hours outside in my wood shop and I feel totally exhausted, might have to call it a day. Maybe the lack of activity all week has me a bit weak. dont know

Allen,

2 hours working in your wood shop is awesome! Yes, it would be trying on a healthy person but to have just been in bed for a week and have MG, 2 hours is great.. LOL, I am just happy I got to shave today Now I will rest and go to Lowes and price items for home improvement come spring.

We all just do a little at a time, until we can do more

woke up day 3 out of hospital, stiff muscles, aching back, a bit of energy, but I wont dare push it today.
Been having some leg spasms that are doozies.
Hamstrings tighten up, maybe from lack of use, maybe from ivig, I dont know, but those hurt like hec, gonna take a short car ride this morning, go out for a early cup of coffee and sandwich, and call it a day, going back to work in a couple of days, and I dont have the option to take off anymore. I didnt realize the effects last for days after I got out.

had the chills most of last night, just couldnt get warm, and my fat body is never cold, and the lack of energy and wasted feeling was horrible.

Allen, the "flu-like" feeling is pretty common, I think -- they told me I could take Tylenol at rec. doses. Are you still DRINKING lots (should be for quite a while)?

1.5 liters or bottled water each day, at least another liter in soda or juice, and yes, my 2-3 cups of coffee each day also.

3 full days out, and although I was so optimistic and thought I was feeling better, my eyes seem to be right back to the same spot they are usually in.
Im not giving up, Im going to be patient.
