Please keep us posted on your progress when you start getting the Rituximeb. I'm very interested to see how this helps you.

Good luck! :)

Thanks Nicky. I finally have my first treatment scheduled for this Thursday and it's scheduled at the hospital I wanted to have it at, so that's a small victory. I'll still be getting plasma pharesis and working my regular schedule, so we'll see how it goes. Frankly, I'm a little freaked out about it, but I'm committed now, so we'll see how it goes! It may take three months or more according the MD to know if it works, but I'll let you know.

Take care,
MK

MK, will the Rituxan "wash out" during your plasmapheresis? I've heard others mention that they "lost" their Cellcept and/or Mestinon during PEX -- and had to take it all over again afterwards.

Hi,

I have to have the Rituxan within a day or two after the PP, or yes, that would happen. So, I'm doing the PP on Tuesday and the Rituxan on Thursdays. With 5 days in between the Rituxan and PP it should be OK according to the MD.

MK, you are our "poster girl". If this works for you, we will all be signing up, ya know??

I am beyond thrilled that you are FINALLY getting this done at the nearby hospital -- 'BOUT TIME!!!

And, even though I was beginning to think your doc had "dropped the ball", it does sound like he really HAS thought all of this through!!

Big (((HUGS))) and tears in my eyes for your brave endeavor!!!
