Default Heart...again.

I wish I wouldn't keep having to post these questions, yet it's hard for me
to talk to anyone else about it.

I just took my cellcept- which now after talking to my neuro thinks all my headaches and feeling weird in the head and blurry vision and tremors are from the cellcept.

Yet that's not why I'm writing. I just took my cellcept before going to sleep, 5 mins ago. Now I'm laying here and having chest pains, all in the same place, just right near my heart. Like a pounding heartthrob. And a little below.

My feet are a little tingly..but I hope it's just the medication, not something messing me up more.

Got more headaches today...

Thanks and hope you all feel well.

Tyson, I can barely deal with this anymore. Chest pain is an EMERGENCY. Doesn't matter what is causing it. I'm sure you don't want a stroke or heart attack. Once you have either of those, MG will seem like a puppy. The fact is that you are at a HUGE risk due to the Accutane, the C-reactive protein, etc. The head pain followed by this chest pain makes me worried about a clot. DAMN it. I don't care if I'm swearing. You have to go in and go in NOW. In fact, most doctors would say dial 911.

My instincts are screaming at me that you have an undiagnosed issue with either cardiology or circulation.

The heart is a muscle and it can DIE if damaged.

And if you are having this bad of a reaction to Cellecpt, someone needs to deal with it immediately. I'm concerned by your statement that "I hope it's just the medication, not something messing me up more." JUST the medication? Drugs kill people by the thousands every year. They can "reveal" an underlying health problem.

I care whether you live or die. I want you to take this seriously. Just because you are 17 does not mean you can't die. Unless you just ate an entire everything pizza, you need help immediately. Even if you did eat one, YOU can't tell what the pain is from. Only a doctor can.

This is basic medicine 101. Chest pain = 911.

Annie

You may not have this but this is an under-diagnosed condition. DO NOT look at this right now. You need to go to the ER.

AND . . . you need to tell the ER doctor EVERYTHING you've experienced in the past few months.

I wouldn't lie down right after taking CellCept.

Many drugs can burn and irritate the esophagus.

I'd stay upright for at least an hour.

CellCept has a warning not to break open the capsules or chew the tablets. This warning typically is given when the drug is very irritating.

Annie,

I understand your panic but I had to laugh inside because I get those chest pains everyday and used to do the hosp thing but lucky for me my heart is 100%, it was my meds.

Tyson,

YOU need to be careful, Annie is right to worry because of your acne meds and high pred and cellcept, you really need a Dr. to guide you through all your meds and what side effects there are.

Well, Joanmarie, it's not panic. I'm as calm as a cucumber. When you get one "clue" that your body is in trouble, then another, then bigger ones, you're wise to listen before your body hands you an even bigger one. I'm glad that you figured out your pain was from the drug and not the drug causing an even bigger problem. But your knowledge came from experience.

Yeah, drugs can cause indigestion like Tetracycline did to me years ago (actually, it was an ulcer reaction). But the only way to know for sure is to do "the ER thing." Not that I'm big on ER's but they are useful.

Does it help being contrary? It's probably nothing. Just a pulled muscle or something. Just ignore it, I'm sure it'll go away.

Joan- I will be careful, im not jumping to th ER tho. Ive had so much going on, it could just be emotional stuff bringing up the chest pains. Im not on Accutane anymore, and had my blood drawn yesterday for a CBC, etc, for cellcept. I have a specialist app. Monday with duke, and they have schued. a EKG aswell, to check for heart problems.

Last night it seemed like i was having heart paplutations, along with the pain, but i called my neuro, he said he will talk to me about it tomorrow (I have an app.)

Annie- Im still alive I know i know, maybe I should have gone in, but I asked bout my phys. and my neuro about it, and all they said was to be careful and rest. So im taking their word.

I willl let you kno the results of the CBC test, and the EKG after my app. on monday..
thanks.
