Default colostrum anyone?

With the threat of IVIG looming over me due to a near crisis earlier this week I was doing some research into Ig and IVIg. I came across the supplement bovine colostrum and its claim that it can boost the immune system in a similar way to IVIg... Now me being skeptical and you guys being so smart I figured I would ask the experts. So has anyone heard or tried this? I searched many of the forums and didn't find much on this...

Thanks!

If you do decide to use it, use the stuff from cows who are not fed anything but grass and other natural foods (unlike antibiotics, etc. they are often given).

The whole problem I have with it, even though some "experts" swear by it, is that it is from cows. Some make it from goats and other mammals. All mammals (like us) are not created equally. As disgusting as it sounds, consuming human breast milk is probably a lot better for you. You are basically consuming breast milk from other mammals.

What brought on your almost crisis? Doing too much? Do you work? If you can change anything about your life, like sitting more, cooking less, etc., than do it.

I hope you and your doctor can figure out a way to keep you out of a crisis. It is NOT fun.

Annie
