please get them to check your potassium levels, as low potassium can cause heart problems, weak muscles. Its just a simple blood test.

As I am reading this I am thinking.. WOW, a lot of this is just like what I am going through right now.

I am seeing a Cardio Doc tomorrow morning at 8am {I will be sooo tired at that hour LOL}

I too have the pains and they don't seem to know why, they did do an ekg that was abnormal, twice, hence the visit to the Cardio.

The chest pains I always had when I was on prednisone, but now I get pains in my back between the shoulder blades and a tightening. Plus there is the pain in the arms and legs that comes and goes.

We are all on a mission here and I am hoping my Cardio gives me some answers that could help you as well.

As for what Annie said about the oximeter, check it out. Just know that in North Carolina you have to have a prescription for it, {I just found that out when I tried to buy one.} My Dr. did give me a script for it and thankfully my ins. covered it otherwise it ran around 100 dollars. But they do vary in price.

When I am not moving my pulse isin the 70s, when I am walking around or doing something I go up to 130 at times. So it is important to keep track of it and everything else.

Write down every little thing, as my first MG Dr. told me, DXing someone is like a puzzle and if you leave out a piece, you can't finish the puzzle, so no matter how small it may seem to you, it may be the missing piece to the Dr.

When I was diagnosed with Pumonary Hypertention, I had to get an Oximeter. A 100 dollars is a pretty good price, other wise they can run extremely high. I have a a BCI, I check it often with my Pulmos or cardio to make sure it's still spot on with theirs. Most doctors like the Nonan (can't remember if the spelling is nonan or nonin) I have to check mine several times a day. Whenever it dips below 90, I have to use my concentrator (a machine that makes oxygen), or my tank. If they find out you have a problem, you may want to ask them if you need one. And like Joanmarie said, they can write a script for you to get one. We just went ahead a bought one.
We wanted to make sure we got a good one, and were more than willing to pay anything extra to get one that was reliable. It's a life saver for me.
