Has anyone tried any sort of a neck brace? I can hold my head up, but my neck gets terribly tired, and my shoulder and upper back muscles get cramped up. Is wearing a brace even recommended for MG patients? Is there one that's safe (and legal) to drive with? I see photos of cervical collars, but I'm not sure they would help me. Then I found this:
http://www.amazon.com/Headmaster-Col...9124264&sr=1-1 It's pretty expensive, and I hate to risk the money without some reason to believe it would work for me. I hope everyone's getting these nice spring days, which sure are lifting my spirits (if not my head). Abby |

Abby, Go see your neuro or internist. A physical therapist should "fit" you for one and then your insurance will pay for it. I'm having to do that now because of neck/jaw weakness too. Yes, they do help.
The U-shaped pillows help when you sit in a chair. You can get those almost anywhere, like AAA's store. Things like these and others like shower stools, chairs in every room, etc. do help. Annie |
