Thanks, Annie, that helps a lot. So when they talk about the "half-life," they only mean that typically, or on the average, it's at half-strength after three or four hours--but even that varies a lot by patient. And even if it's at half-strength after four hours for a particular patient, it doesn't mean that the strength decreases at a steady rate, before or after. I'm catching on! Thanks for all your help,

Thanks everyone. I am doing better. My Dr. thinks i was on the verge of a mini crisis....but still not a crisis as my breathing was not difficult....thank GOD! But he did say that if I have a hard time breathing...to get back to the ER.
And of course my predisone was increased and I will see him on Thursday when he will reevaluate my meds. At that time, I am going to see about getting a steady dose of mestinon versus the up and down doasge. Thank you all!!!! |
Good, I'm glad you dodged a bullet. Be aware that you could keep getting worse if you don't back off on activity for a while and get more sleep.

Thanks Annie! You were really the voice of reason when i really needed it...I can talk myself out of anything. :o
And this really WAS a wake up call. I am still living my life normally and pushing myself to get things done, same amount of rest....and I just can not do that anymore. I really NEED to stop and slow down and get REST. I don't know why this is easier said then done...:p :grouphug: |
